Contrary to media reports that the second corona vaccination would be administered earlier, we are sticking to the planned dates of Tuesday, June 22 and Thursday August 12 .

There is no scientific evidence that advancing the second vaccination offers the same protection as administering the vaccine after 10 to 14 weeks. In addition, for the time being we will not receive the first delivery of vaccines until just before June 22 and the second delivery just before August 12, so injections are not possible much earlier anyway.

If you are not able to get your second vaccination on June 22 or August 12 for urgent reasons, please contact us by e-mail (via the contact form on the Contact page). Then we can see if we can come up with a solution for this.

People who were born between 1961 and 1968 or before 1955 can – without an invitation letter – make an online vaccination appointment via the GGD (click on this link to do this).

Meanwhile, our patients, who were born between 1960 and 2003 and belong to a risk group (and also receive an annual summons for the flu shot), have received an invitation letter from the GGD. If you belong to this risk group and have not received an invitation, please accept. contact us.

Vaccination Questions

In recent weeks we have received many phone calls with (understandable) questions about the vaccinations. In order to keep the practice easily accessible for ‘normal’ health care questions, we kindly request you to first look at the site of the Rijksoverheid and the RIVM , where most questions are answered .

* We have no influence on which vaccine is offered to you. This is determined by the government. So we cannot arrange any other vaccine for you.

* We have no influence on the term within which you can expect your call. The RIVM determines when the next age category is called up, we cannot accelerate this.

* We do not have more information than what is stated on the website of the National Government and the RIVM. < / p>

What does the flu vaccination do?

The flu vaccination is the best protection against flu. The flu vaccination ensures that your body develops antibodies against the flu virus. Two weeks after having the flu vaccination, you will have enough antibodies.

Location and time

The flu vaccination for patients of the Baecke & Nobel general practice takes place in the Beukenlaan 4.

Your doctor will take measures against the corona virus. It is therefore safe to come to the practice.

You can help:

• Stay at home and make a new appointment if you have 1 or more of these complaints:
  • Common cold
  • Sore throat
  • sneezing
  • Coughing
  • Suddenly tired
  • No longer being able to smell or taste
  • Fever
• Keep 1.5 meters away from others
• We kindly request that you wear a facemask

We also ask that you take the following into account:

• Take the letter you received with you.
• You will receive the flu shot in your upper arm. Therefore, wear clothes where you can easily expose your upper arm.
